Award: Outstanding Product and Contribution of the Year (China)

Winning company: 1 Click SMT

Winning Products: Mas-i4 selective Soldering Machine

Mas-i4 is the latest generation selective soldering machine, with the highest flexibility and yield, can simultaneously soldered four plates in parallel. The system features an XY servo platform for two independent flux nozzles (flux 1 and flux 2). The distance between flux nozzles is automatically adjusted by a servo motor through software programming, and the typical programming time for starting and running MAS-I4 is only ten minutes. Customers can choose to use only one flux nozzle for all the boards, so that both types of flux can fit on a single machine, or they can choose to have the same flux for both nozzles. In terms of preheating, MAS-I4 is equipped with a convective preheating zone at the top and an infrared preheating zone at the bottom. The top preheating area is located above the welding area for better solder filling. In addition, the system has a small footprint. When competing machines are equipped with four nozzles, they need more than 5m in length. The machine covers an area of less than 3.5m, saving more than 30% of space.

EM Innovation Awards

The EM Innovation Awards were established in 2006 to recognize suppliers who have made outstanding contributions to drive development and innovation in the electronics manufacturing industry.

All awards are based on very strict criteria, including innovation, cost efficiency, speed/capacity improvement, quality improvement, ease of use, ease of maintenance and process first. The winning products were independently selected based on the above criteria by a panel of highly experienced process/engineering managers from EMS and OEM, as well as other industry experts.
